R&B singer and music label boss Bankole ‘ Banky W ’ Wellington
has been chosen as one of the speakers at this year’s edition of the
Oxford University Pan Africa Conference which holds on Saturday, May 4,
2013.
Banky W will be speaking on the importance of current cultural shifts and changes in artistic expression.
According to a statement from the singer’s reps, he will also discuss
the rise of a vibrant media industry and how these changes are shaping
the continent’s self-perception and its image abroad.
Other speakers and panelists at the event include former South Africa
president Thabo Mbeki and Sierra Leone president Ernest Koroma.
